The Story Behind the Work

Soft Tide draws on the gentler colors of a coast in early morning light. Deep blue water meets blush and creamy white along a softly blurred shoreline, suggesting a tide moving slowly across the sand. Glaze flows and changes in the kiln, giving the boundary between water and shore its own unrepeatable shape.
